PaulanapostleofJesusChristbythewillofGodaccordingtothepromiseoflifewhichisinChristJesusToTimothymydearlybelovedsonGracemercyandpeacefromGodtheFatherandChristJesusourLordIthankGodwhomIservefrommyforefatherswithpureconsciencethatwithoutceasingIhaveremembranceoftheeinmyprayersnightanddayGreatlydesiringtoseetheebeingmindfulofthytearsthatImaybefilledwithjoyWhenIcalltoremembrancetheunfeignedfaiththatisintheewhichdweltfirstinthygrandmotherLoisandthymotherEuniceandIampersuadedthatintheealsoWhereforeIputtheeinremembrancethatthoustirupthegiftofGodwhichisintheebytheputtingonofmyhandsForGodhathnotgivenusthespiritoffearbutofpowerandofloveandofasoundmindBenotthouthereforeashamedofthetestimonyofourLordnorofmehisprisonerbutbethoupartakeroftheafflictionsofthegospelaccordingtothepowerofGodWhohathsavedusandcalleduswithanholycallingnotaccordingtoourworksbutaccordingtohisownpurposeandgracewhichwasgivenusinChristJesusbeforetheworldbeganButisnowmademanifestbytheappearingofourSaviourJesusChristwhohathabolisheddeathandhathbroughtlifeandimmortalitytolightthroughthegospelWhereuntoIamappointedapreacherandanapostleandateacheroftheGentilesForthewhichcauseIalsosufferthesethingsneverthelessIamnotashamedforIknowwhomIhavebelievedandampersuadedthatheisabletokeepthatwhichIhavecommitteduntohimagainstthatdayHoldfasttheformofsoundwordswhichthouhastheardofmeinfaithandlovewhichisinChristJesusThatgoodthingwhichwascommitteduntotheekeepbytheHolyGhostwhichdwellethinusThisthouknowestthatalltheywhichareinAsiabeturnedawayfrommeofwhomarePhygellusandHermogenesTheLordgivemercyuntothehouseofOnesiphorusforheoftrefreshedmeandwasnotashamedofmychainButwhenhewasinRomehesoughtmeoutverydiligentlyandfoundmeTheLordgrantuntohimthathemayfindmercyoftheLordinthatdayandinhowmanythingsheministereduntomeatEphesusthouknowestverywellThouthereforemysonbestronginthegracethatisinChristJesusAndthethingsthatthouhastheardofmeamongmanywitnessesthesamecommitthoutofaithfulmenwhoshallbeabletoteachothersalsoThouthereforeendurehardnessasagoodsoldierofJesusChristNomanthatwarrethentanglethhimselfwiththeaffairsofthislifethathemaypleasehimwhohathchosenhimtobeasoldierAndifamanalsostriveformasteriesyetishenotcrownedexcepthestrivelawfullyThehusbandmanthatlabourethmustbefirstpartakerofthefruitsConsiderwhatIsayandtheLordgivetheeunderstandinginallthingsRememberthatJesusChristoftheseedofDavidwasraisedfromthedeadaccordingtomygospelWhereinIsuffertroubleasanevildoerevenuntobondsbutthewordofGodisnotboundThereforeIendureallthingsfortheelectssakesthattheymayalsoobtainthesalvationwhichisinChristJesuswitheternalgloryItisafaithfulsayingForifwebedeadwithhimweshallalsolivewithhimIfwesufferweshallalsoreignwithhimifwedenyhimhealsowilldenyusIfwebelievenotyetheabidethfaithfulhecannotdenyhimselfOfthesethingsputtheminremembrancechargingthembeforetheLordthattheystrivenotaboutwordstonoprofitbuttothesubvertingofthehearersStudytoshewthyselfapproveduntoGodaworkmanthatneedethnottobeashamedrightlydividingthewordoftruthButshunprofaneandvainbabblingsfortheywillincreaseuntomoreungodlinessAndtheirwordwilleatasdothacankerofwhomisHymenaeusandPhiletusWhoconcerningthetruthhaveerredsayingthattheresurrectionispastalreadyandoverthrowthefaithofsomeNeverthelessthefoundationofGodstandethsurehavingthissealTheLordknoweththemthatarehisAndLeteveryonethatnameththenameofChristdepartfrominiquityButinagreathousetherearenotonlyvesselsofgoldandofsilverbutalsoofwoodandofearthandsometohonourandsometodishonourIfamanthereforepurgehimselffromtheseheshallbeavesseluntohonoursanctifiedandmeetforthemastersuseandprepareduntoeverygoodworkFleealsoyouthfullustsbutfollowrighteousnessfaithcharitypeacewiththemthatcallontheLordoutofapureheartButfoolishandunlearnedquestionsavoidknowingthattheydogenderstrifesAndtheservantoftheLordmustnotstrivebutbegentleuntoallmenapttoteachpatientInmeeknessinstructingthosethatopposethemselvesifGodperadventurewillgivethemrepentancetotheacknowledgingofthetruthAndthattheymayrecoverthemselvesoutofthesnareofthedevilwhoaretakencaptivebyhimathiswillThisknowalsothatinthelastdaysperiloustimesshallcomeFormenshallbeloversoftheirownselvescovetousboastersproudblasphemersdisobedienttoparentsunthankfulunholyWithoutnaturalaffectiontrucebreakersfalseaccusersincontinentfiercedespisersofthosethataregoodTraitorsheadyhighmindedloversofpleasuresmorethanloversofGodHavingaformofgodlinessbutdenyingthepowerthereoffromsuchturnawayForofthissortaretheywhichcreepintohousesandleadcaptivesillywomenladenwithsinsledawaywithdiverslustsEverlearningandneverabletocometotheknowledgeofthetruthNowasJannesandJambreswithstoodMosessodothesealsoresistthetruthmenofcorruptmindsreprobateconcerningthefaithButtheyshallproceednofurtherfortheirfollyshallbemanifestuntoallmenastheirsalsowasButthouhastfullyknownmydoctrinemanneroflifepurposefaithlongsufferingcharitypatiencePersecutionsafflictionswhichcameuntomeatAntiochatIconiumatLystrawhatpersecutionsIenduredbutoutofthemalltheLorddeliveredmeYeaandallthatwilllivegodlyinChristJesusshallsufferpersecutionButevilmenandseducersshallwaxworseandworsedeceivingandbeingdeceivedButcontinuethouinthethingswhichthouhastlearnedandhastbeenassuredofknowingofwhomthouhastlearnedthemAndthatfromachildthouhastknowntheholyscriptureswhichareabletomaketheewiseuntosalvationthroughfaithwhichisinChristJesusAllscriptureisgivenbyinspirationofGodandisprofitablefordoctrineforreproofforcorrectionforinstructioninrighteousnessThatthemanofGodmaybeperfectthroughlyfurnisheduntoallgoodworksIchargetheethereforebeforeGodandtheLordJesusChristwhoshalljudgethequickandthedeadathisappearingandhiskingdomPreachthewordbeinstantinseasonoutofseasonreproverebukeexhortwithalllongsufferinganddoctrineForthetimewillcomewhentheywillnotenduresounddoctrinebutaftertheirownlustsshalltheyheaptothemselvesteachershavingitchingearsAndtheyshallturnawaytheirearsfromthetruthandshallbeturneduntofablesButwatchthouinallthingsendureafflictionsdotheworkofanevangelistmakefullproofofthyministryForIamnowreadytobeofferedandthetimeofmydepartureisathandIhavefoughtagoodfightIhavefinishedmycourseIhavekeptthefaithHenceforththereislaidupformeacrownofrighteousnesswhichtheLordtherighteousjudgeshallgivemeatthatdayandnottomeonlybutuntoallthemalsothatlovehisappearingDothydiligencetocomeshortlyuntomeForDemashathforsakenmehavinglovedthispresentworldandisdeparteduntoThessalonicaCrescenstoGalatiaTitusuntoDalmatiaOnlyLukeiswithmeTakeMarkandbringhimwiththeeforheisprofitabletomefortheministryAndTychicushaveIsenttoEphesusTheclokethatIleftatTroaswithCarpuswhenthoucomestbringwiththeeandthebooksbutespeciallytheparchmentsAlexanderthecoppersmithdidmemucheviltheLordrewardhimaccordingtohisworksOfwhombethouwarealsoforhehathgreatlywithstoodourwordsAtmyfirstanswernomanstoodwithmebutallmenforsookmeIprayGodthatitmaynotbelaidtotheirchargeNotwithstandingtheLordstoodwithmeandstrengthenedmethatbymethepreachingmightbefullyknownandthatalltheGentilesmighthearandIwasdeliveredoutofthemouthofthelionAndtheLordshalldelivermefromeveryevilworkandwillpreservemeuntohisheavenlykingdomtowhombegloryforeverandeverAmenSalutePriscaandAquilaandthehouseholdofOnesiphorusErastusabodeatCorinthbutTrophimushaveIleftatMiletumsickDothydiligencetocomebeforewinterEubulusgreeteththeeandPudensandLinusandClaudiaandallthebrethrenTheLordJesusChristbewiththyspiritGracebewithyouAmen
