PaulanapostleofJesusChristbythecommandmentofGodourSaviourandLordJesusChristwhichisourhopeUntoTimothymyownsoninthefaithGracemercyandpeacefromGodourFatherandJesusChristourLordAsIbesoughttheetoabidestillatEphesuswhenIwentintoMacedoniathatthoumightestchargesomethattheyteachnootherdoctrineNeithergiveheedtofablesandendlessgenealogieswhichministerquestionsratherthangodlyedifyingwhichisinfaithsodoNowtheendofthecommandmentischarityoutofapureheartandofagoodconscienceandoffaithunfeignedFromwhichsomehavingswervedhaveturnedasideuntovainjanglingDesiringtobeteachersofthelawunderstandingneitherwhattheysaynorwhereoftheyaffirmButweknowthatthelawisgoodifamanuseitlawfullyKnowingthisthatthelawisnotmadeforarighteousmanbutforthelawlessanddisobedientfortheungodlyandforsinnersforunholyandprofaneformurderersoffathersandmurderersofmothersformanslayersForwhoremongersforthemthatdefilethemselveswithmankindformenstealersforliarsforperjuredpersonsandiftherebeanyotherthingthatiscontrarytosounddoctrineAccordingtothegloriousgospeloftheblessedGodwhichwascommittedtomytrustAndIthankChristJesusourLordwhohathenabledmeforthathecountedmefaithfulputtingmeintotheministryWhowasbeforeablasphemerandapersecutorandinjuriousbutIobtainedmercybecauseIdiditignorantlyinunbeliefAndthegraceofourLordwasexceedingabundantwithfaithandlovewhichisinChristJesusThisisafaithfulsayingandworthyofallacceptationthatChristJesuscameintotheworldtosavesinnersofwhomIamchiefHowbeitforthiscauseIobtainedmercythatinmefirstJesusChristmightshewforthalllongsufferingforapatterntothemwhichshouldhereafterbelieveonhimtolifeeverlastingNowuntotheKingeternalimmortalinvisibletheonlywiseGodbehonourandgloryforeverandeverAmenThischargeIcommituntotheesonTimothyaccordingtotheprophecieswhichwentbeforeontheethatthoubythemmightestwaragoodwarfareHoldingfaithandagoodconsciencewhichsomehavingputawayconcerningfaithhavemadeshipwreckOfwhomisHymenaeusandAlexanderwhomIhavedelivereduntoSatanthattheymaylearnnottoblasphemeIexhortthereforethatfirstofallsupplicationsprayersintercessionsandgivingofthanksbemadeforallmenForkingsandforallthatareinauthoritythatwemayleadaquietandpeaceablelifeinallgodlinessandhonestyForthisisgoodandacceptableinthesightofGodourSaviourWhowillhaveallmentobesavedandtocomeuntotheknowledgeofthetruthForthereisoneGodandonemediatorbetweenGodandmenthemanChristJesusWhogavehimselfaransomforalltobetestifiedinduetimeWhereuntoIamordainedapreacherandanapostleIspeakthetruthinChristandlienotateacheroftheGentilesinfaithandverityIwillthereforethatmenprayeverywhereliftingupholyhandswithoutwrathanddoubtingInlikemanneralsothatwomenadornthemselvesinmodestapparelwithshamefacednessandsobrietynotwithbroidedhairorgoldorpearlsorcostlyarrayButwhichbecomethwomenprofessinggodlinesswithgoodworksLetthewomanlearninsilencewithallsubjectionButIsuffernotawomantoteachnortousurpauthorityoverthemanbuttobeinsilenceForAdamwasfirstformedthenEveAndAdamwasnotdeceivedbutthewomanbeingdeceivedwasinthetransgressionNotwithstandingsheshallbesavedinchildbearingiftheycontinueinfaithandcharityandholinesswithsobrietyThisisatruesayingIfamandesiretheofficeofabishophedesirethagoodworkAbishopthenmustbeblamelessthehusbandofonewifevigilantsoberofgoodbehaviourgiventohospitalityapttoteachNotgiventowinenostrikernotgreedyoffilthylucrebutpatientnotabrawlernotcovetousOnethatrulethwellhisownhousehavinghischildreninsubjectionwithallgravityForifamanknownothowtorulehisownhousehowshallhetakecareofthechurchofGodNotanovicelestbeingliftedupwithpridehefallintothecondemnationofthedevilMoreoverhemusthaveagoodreportofthemwhicharewithoutlesthefallintoreproachandthesnareofthedevilLikewisemustthedeaconsbegravenotdoubletonguednotgiventomuchwinenotgreedyoffilthylucreHoldingthemysteryofthefaithinapureconscienceAndletthesealsofirstbeprovedthenletthemusetheofficeofadeaconbeingfoundblamelessEvensomusttheirwivesbegravenotslandererssoberfaithfulinallthingsLetthedeaconsbethehusbandsofonewiferulingtheirchildrenandtheirownhouseswellFortheythathaveusedtheofficeofadeaconwellpurchasetothemselvesagooddegreeandgreatboldnessinthefaithwhichisinChristJesusThesethingswriteIuntotheehopingtocomeuntotheeshortlyButifItarrylongthatthoumayestknowhowthououghtesttobehavethyselfinthehouseofGodwhichisthechurchofthelivingGodthepillarandgroundofthetruthAndwithoutcontroversygreatisthemysteryofgodlinessGodwasmanifestinthefleshjustifiedintheSpiritseenofangelspreacheduntotheGentilesbelievedonintheworldreceivedupintogloryNowtheSpiritspeakethexpresslythatinthelattertimessomeshalldepartfromthefaithgivingheedtoseducingspiritsanddoctrinesofdevilsSpeakingliesinhypocrisyhavingtheirconsciencesearedwithahotironForbiddingtomarryandcommandingtoabstainfrommeatswhichGodhathcreatedtobereceivedwiththanksgivingofthemwhichbelieveandknowthetruthForeverycreatureofGodisgoodandnothingtoberefusedifitbereceivedwiththanksgivingForitissanctifiedbythewordofGodandprayerIfthouputthebrethreninremembranceofthesethingsthoushaltbeagoodministerofJesusChristnourishedupinthewordsoffaithandofgooddoctrinewhereuntothouhastattainedButrefuseprofaneandoldwivesfablesandexercisethyselfratheruntogodlinessForbodilyexerciseprofitethlittlebutgodlinessisprofitableuntoallthingshavingpromiseofthelifethatnowisandofthatwhichistocomeThisisafaithfulsayingandworthyofallacceptationForthereforewebothlabourandsufferreproachbecausewetrustinthelivingGodwhoistheSaviourofallmenspeciallyofthosethatbelieveThesethingscommandandteachLetnomandespisethyyouthbutbethouanexampleofthebelieversinwordinconversationincharityinspiritinfaithinpurityTillIcomegiveattendancetoreadingtoexhortationtodoctrineNeglectnotthegiftthatisintheewhichwasgiventheebyprophecywiththelayingonofthehandsofthepresbyteryMeditateuponthesethingsgivethyselfwhollytothemthatthyprofitingmayappeartoallTakeheeduntothyselfanduntothedoctrinecontinueinthemforindoingthisthoushaltbothsavethyselfandthemthatheartheeRebukenotanelderbutintreathimasafatherandtheyoungermenasbrethrenTheelderwomenasmotherstheyoungerassisterswithallpurityHonourwidowsthatarewidowsindeedButifanywidowhavechildrenornephewsletthemlearnfirsttoshewpietyathomeandtorequitetheirparentsforthatisgoodandacceptablebeforeGodNowshethatisawidowindeedanddesolatetrustethinGodandcontinuethinsupplicationsandprayersnightanddayButshethatlivethinpleasureisdeadwhileshelivethAndthesethingsgiveinchargethattheymaybeblamelessButifanyprovidenotforhisownandspeciallyforthoseofhisownhousehehathdeniedthefaithandisworsethananinfidelLetnotawidowbetakenintothenumberunderthreescoreyearsoldhavingbeenthewifeofonemanWellreportedofforgoodworksifshehavebroughtupchildrenifshehavelodgedstrangersifshehavewashedthesaintsfeetifshehaverelievedtheafflictedifshehavediligentlyfollowedeverygoodworkButtheyoungerwidowsrefuseforwhentheyhavebeguntowaxwantonagainstChristtheywillmarryHavingdamnationbecausetheyhavecastofftheirfirstfaithAndwithaltheylearntobeidlewanderingaboutfromhousetohouseandnotonlyidlebuttattlersalsoandbusybodiesspeakingthingswhichtheyoughtnotIwillthereforethattheyoungerwomenmarrybearchildrenguidethehousegivenoneoccasiontotheadversarytospeakreproachfullyForsomearealreadyturnedasideafterSatanIfanymanorwomanthatbelievethhavewidowsletthemrelievethemandletnotthechurchbechargedthatitmayrelievethemthatarewidowsindeedLettheeldersthatrulewellbecountedworthyofdoublehonourespeciallytheywholabourinthewordanddoctrineForthescripturesaithThoushaltnotmuzzletheoxthattreadethoutthecornAndThelabourerisworthyofhisrewardAgainstanelderreceivenotanaccusationbutbeforetwoorthreewitnessesThemthatsinrebukebeforeallthatothersalsomayfearIchargetheebeforeGodandtheLordJesusChristandtheelectangelsthatthouobservethesethingswithoutpreferringonebeforeanotherdoingnothingbypartialityLayhandssuddenlyonnomanneitherbepartakerofothermenssinskeepthyselfpureDrinknolongerwaterbutusealittlewineforthystomachssakeandthineofteninfirmitiesSomemenssinsareopenbeforehandgoingbeforetojudgmentandsomementheyfollowafterLikewisealsothegoodworksofsomearemanifestbeforehandandtheythatareotherwisecannotbehidLetasmanyservantsasareundertheyokecounttheirownmastersworthyofallhonourthatthenameofGodandhisdoctrinebenotblasphemedAndtheythathavebelievingmastersletthemnotdespisethembecausetheyarebrethrenbutratherdothemservicebecausetheyarefaithfulandbelovedpartakersofthebenefitThesethingsteachandexhortIfanymanteachotherwiseandconsentnottowholesomewordseventhewordsofourLordJesusChristandtothedoctrinewhichisaccordingtogodlinessHeisproudknowingnothingbutdotingaboutquestionsandstrifesofwordswhereofcomethenvystriferailingsevilsurmisingsPerversedisputingsofmenofcorruptmindsanddestituteofthetruthsupposingthatgainisgodlinessfromsuchwithdrawthyselfButgodlinesswithcontentmentisgreatgainForwebroughtnothingintothisworldanditiscertainwecancarrynothingoutAndhavingfoodandraimentletusbetherewithcontentButtheythatwillberichfallintotemptationandasnareandintomanyfoolishandhurtfullustswhichdrownmenindestructionandperditionFortheloveofmoneyistherootofallevilwhichwhilesomecovetedaftertheyhaveerredfromthefaithandpiercedthemselvesthroughwithmanysorrowsButthouOmanofGodfleethesethingsandfollowafterrighteousnessgodlinessfaithlovepatiencemeeknessFightthegoodfightoffaithlayholdoneternallifewhereuntothouartalsocalledandhastprofessedagoodprofessionbeforemanywitnessesIgivetheechargeinthesightofGodwhoquickenethallthingsandbeforeChristJesuswhobeforePontiusPilatewitnessedagoodconfessionThatthoukeepthiscommandmentwithoutspotunrebukeableuntiltheappearingofourLordJesusChristWhichinhistimesheshallshewwhoistheblessedandonlyPotentatetheKingofkingsandLordoflordsWhoonlyhathimmortalitydwellinginthelightwhichnomancanapproachuntowhomnomanhathseennorcanseetowhombehonourandpowereverlastingAmenChargethemthatarerichinthisworldthattheybenothighmindednortrustinuncertainrichesbutinthelivingGodwhogivethusrichlyallthingstoenjoyThattheydogoodthattheyberichingoodworksreadytodistributewillingtocommunicateLayingupinstoreforthemselvesagoodfoundationagainstthetimetocomethattheymaylayholdoneternallifeOTimothykeepthatwhichiscommittedtothytrustavoidingprofaneandvainbabblingsandoppositionsofsciencefalselysocalledWhi
