PaulanapostleofJesusChristbythewillofGodandTimothyourbrotheruntothechurchofGodwhichisatCorinthwithallthesaintswhichareinallAchaiaGracebetoyouandpeacefromGodourFatherandfromtheLordJesusChristBlessedbeGodeventheFatherofourLordJesusChristtheFatherofmerciesandtheGodofallcomfortWhocomfortethusinallourtribulationthatwemaybeabletocomfortthemwhichareinanytroublebythecomfortwherewithweourselvesarecomfortedofGodForasthesufferingsofChristaboundinussoourconsolationalsoaboundethbyChristAndwhetherwebeafflicteditisforyourconsolationandsalvationwhichiseffectualintheenduringofthesamesufferingswhichwealsosufferorwhetherwebecomforteditisforyourconsolationandsalvationAndourhopeofyouisstedfastknowingthatasyearepartakersofthesufferingssoshallyebealsooftheconsolationForwewouldnotbrethrenhaveyouignorantofourtroublewhichcametousinAsiathatwewerepressedoutofmeasureabovestrengthinsomuchthatwedespairedevenoflifeButwehadthesentenceofdeathinourselvesthatweshouldnottrustinourselvesbutinGodwhichraiseththedeadWhodeliveredusfromsogreatadeathanddothdeliverinwhomwetrustthathewillyetdeliverusYealsohelpingtogetherbyprayerforusthatforthegiftbestoweduponusbythemeansofmanypersonsthanksmaybegivenbymanyonourbehalfForourrejoicingisthisthetestimonyofourconsciencethatinsimplicityandgodlysinceritynotwithfleshlywisdombutbythegraceofGodwehavehadourconversationintheworldandmoreabundantlytoyouwardForwewritenoneotherthingsuntoyouthanwhatyereadoracknowledgeandItrustyeshallacknowledgeeventotheendAsalsoyehaveacknowledgedusinpartthatweareyourrejoicingevenasyealsoareoursinthedayoftheLordJesusAndinthisconfidenceIwasmindedtocomeuntoyoubeforethatyemighthaveasecondbenefitAndtopassbyyouintoMacedoniaandtocomeagainoutofMacedoniauntoyouandofyoutobebroughtonmywaytowardJudaeaWhenIthereforewasthusmindeddidIuselightnessorthethingsthatIpurposedoIpurposeaccordingtothefleshthatwithmethereshouldbeyeayeaandnaynayButasGodistrueourwordtowardyouwasnotyeaandnayFortheSonofGodJesusChristwhowaspreachedamongyoubyusevenbymeandSilvanusandTimotheuswasnotyeaandnaybutinhimwasyeaForallthepromisesofGodinhimareyeaandinhimAmenuntothegloryofGodbyusNowhewhichstablishethuswithyouinChristandhathanointedusisGodWhohathalsosealedusandgiventheearnestoftheSpiritinourheartsMoreoverIcallGodforarecorduponmysoulthattospareyouIcamenotasyetuntoCorinthNotforthatwehavedominionoveryourfaithbutarehelpersofyourjoyforbyfaithyestandButIdeterminedthiswithmyselfthatIwouldnotcomeagaintoyouinheavinessForifImakeyousorrywhoishethenthatmakethmegladbutthesamewhichismadesorrybymeAndIwrotethissameuntoyoulestwhenIcameIshouldhavesorrowfromthemofwhomIoughttorejoicehavingconfidenceinyouallthatmyjoyisthejoyofyouallForoutofmuchafflictionandanguishofheartIwroteuntoyouwithmanytearsnotthatyeshouldbegrievedbutthatyemightknowthelovewhichIhavemoreabundantlyuntoyouButifanyhavecausedgriefhehathnotgrievedmebutinpartthatImaynotoverchargeyouallSufficienttosuchamanisthispunishmentwhichwasinflictedofmanySothatcontrariwiseyeoughtrathertoforgivehimandcomforthimlestperhapssuchaoneshouldbeswallowedupwithovermuchsorrowWhereforeIbeseechyouthatyewouldconfirmyourlovetowardhimFortothisendalsodidIwritethatImightknowtheproofofyouwhetheryebeobedientinallthingsTowhomyeforgiveanythingIforgivealsoforifIforgaveanythingtowhomIforgaveitforyoursakesforgaveIitinthepersonofChristLestSatanshouldgetanadvantageofusforwearenotignorantofhisdevicesFurthermorewhenIcametoTroastopreachChristsgospelandadoorwasopeneduntomeoftheLordIhadnorestinmyspiritbecauseIfoundnotTitusmybrotherbuttakingmyleaveofthemIwentfromthenceintoMacedoniaNowthanksbeuntoGodwhichalwayscausethustotriumphinChristandmakethmanifestthesavourofhisknowledgebyusineveryplaceForweareuntoGodasweetsavourofChristinthemthataresavedandinthemthatperishTotheonewearethesavourofdeathuntodeathandtotheotherthesavouroflifeuntolifeAndwhoissufficientforthesethingsForwearenotasmanywhichcorruptthewordofGodbutasofsinceritybutasofGodinthesightofGodspeakweinChristDowebeginagaintocommendourselvesorneedweassomeothersepistlesofcommendationtoyouorlettersofcommendationfromyouYeareourepistlewritteninourheartsknownandreadofallmenForasmuchasyearemanifestlydeclaredtobetheepistleofChristministeredbyuswrittennotwithinkbutwiththeSpiritofthelivingGodnotintablesofstonebutinfleshytablesoftheheartAndsuchtrusthavewethroughChristtoGodwardNotthatwearesufficientofourselvestothinkanythingasofourselvesbutoursufficiencyisofGodWhoalsohathmadeusableministersofthenewtestamentnotoftheletterbutofthespiritfortheletterkillethbutthespiritgivethlifeButiftheministrationofdeathwrittenandengraveninstoneswasglorioussothatthechildrenofIsraelcouldnotstedfastlybeholdthefaceofMosesforthegloryofhiscountenancewhichglorywastobedoneawayHowshallnottheministrationofthespiritberathergloriousForiftheministrationofcondemnationbeglorymuchmoredoththeministrationofrighteousnessexceedingloryForeventhatwhichwasmadeglorioushadnogloryinthisrespectbyreasonoftheglorythatexcellethForifthatwhichisdoneawaywasgloriousmuchmorethatwhichremainethisgloriousSeeingthenthatwehavesuchhopeweusegreatplainnessofspeechAndnotasMoseswhichputavailoverhisfacethatthechildrenofIsraelcouldnotstedfastlylooktotheendofthatwhichisabolishedButtheirmindswereblindedforuntilthisdayremaineththesamevailuntakenawayinthereadingoftheoldtestamentwhichvailisdoneawayinChristButevenuntothisdaywhenMosesisreadthevailisupontheirheartNeverthelesswhenitshallturntotheLordthevailshallbetakenawayNowtheLordisthatSpiritandwheretheSpiritoftheLordisthereislibertyButweallwithopenfacebeholdingasinaglassthegloryoftheLordarechangedintothesameimagefromglorytogloryevenasbytheSpiritoftheLordThereforeseeingwehavethisministryaswehavereceivedmercywefaintnotButhaverenouncedthehiddenthingsofdishonestynotwalkingincraftinessnorhandlingthewordofGoddeceitfullybutbymanifestationofthetruthcommendingourselvestoeverymansconscienceinthesightofGodButifourgospelbehiditishidtothemthatarelostInwhomthegodofthisworldhathblindedthemindsofthemwhichbelievenotlestthelightofthegloriousgospelofChristwhoistheimageofGodshouldshineuntothemForwepreachnotourselvesbutChristJesustheLordandourselvesyourservantsforJesussakeForGodwhocommandedthelighttoshineoutofdarknesshathshinedinourheartstogivethelightoftheknowledgeofthegloryofGodinthefaceofJesusChristButwehavethistreasureinearthenvesselsthattheexcellencyofthepowermaybeofGodandnotofusWearetroubledoneverysideyetnotdistressedweareperplexedbutnotindespairPersecutedbutnotforsakencastdownbutnotdestroyedAlwaysbearingaboutinthebodythedyingoftheLordJesusthatthelifealsoofJesusmightbemademanifestinourbodyForwewhichlivearealwaydelivereduntodeathforJesussakethatthelifealsoofJesusmightbemademanifestinourmortalfleshSothendeathworkethinusbutlifeinyouWehavingthesamespiritoffaithaccordingasitiswrittenIbelievedandthereforehaveIspokenwealsobelieveandthereforespeakKnowingthathewhichraiseduptheLordJesusshallraiseupusalsobyJesusandshallpresentuswithyouForallthingsareforyoursakesthattheabundantgracemightthroughthethanksgivingofmanyredoundtothegloryofGodForwhichcausewefaintnotbutthoughouroutwardmanperishyettheinwardmanisreneweddaybydayForourlightafflictionwhichisbutforamomentworkethforusafarmoreexceedingandeternalweightofgloryWhilewelooknotatthethingswhichareseenbutatthethingswhicharenotseenforthethingswhichareseenaretemporalbutthethingswhicharenotseenareeternalForweknowthatifourearthlyhouseofthistabernacleweredissolvedwehaveabuildingofGodanhousenotmadewithhandseternalintheheavensForinthiswegroanearnestlydesiringtobeclotheduponwithourhousewhichisfromheavenIfsobethatbeingclothedweshallnotbefoundnakedForwethatareinthistabernacledogroanbeingburdenednotforthatwewouldbeunclothedbutclotheduponthatmortalitymightbeswallowedupoflifeNowhethathathwroughtusfortheselfsamethingisGodwhoalsohathgivenuntoustheearnestoftheSpiritThereforewearealwaysconfidentknowingthatwhilstweareathomeinthebodyweareabsentfromtheLordForwewalkbyfaithnotbysightWeareconfidentIsayandwillingrathertobeabsentfromthebodyandtobepresentwiththeLordWhereforewelabourthatwhetherpresentorabsentwemaybeacceptedofhimForwemustallappearbeforethejudgmentseatofChristthateveryonemayreceivethethingsdoneinhisbodyaccordingtothathehathdonewhetheritbegoodorbadKnowingthereforetheterroroftheLordwepersuademenbutwearemademanifestuntoGodandItrustalsoaremademanifestinyourconsciencesForwecommendnotourselvesagainuntoyoubutgiveyouoccasiontogloryonourbehalfthatyemayhavesomewhattoanswerthemwhichgloryinappearanceandnotinheartForwhetherwebebesideourselvesitistoGodorwhetherwebesoberitisforyourcauseFortheloveofChristconstrainethusbecausewethusjudgethatifonediedforallthenwerealldeadAndthathediedforallthattheywhichliveshouldnothenceforthliveuntothemselvesbutuntohimwhichdiedforthemandroseagainWhereforehenceforthknowwenomanafterthefleshyeathoughwehaveknownChristafterthefleshyetnowhenceforthknowwehimnomoreThereforeifanymanbeinChristheisanewcreatureoldthingsarepassedawaybeholdallthingsarebecomenewAndallthingsareofGodwhohathreconciledustohimselfbyJesusChristandhathgiventoustheministryofreconciliationTowitthatGodwasinChristreconcilingtheworlduntohimselfnotimputingtheirtrespassesuntothemandhathcommitteduntousthewordofreconciliationNowthenweareambassadorsforChristasthoughGoddidbeseechyoubyusweprayyouinChristssteadbeyereconciledtoGodForhehathmadehimtobesinforuswhoknewnosinthatwemightbemadetherighteousnessofGodinhimWethenasworkerstogetherwithhimbeseechyoualsothatyereceivenotthegraceofGodinvainForhesaithIhaveheardtheeinatimeacceptedandinthedayofsalvationhaveIsuccouredtheebeholdnowistheacceptedtimebeholdnowisthedayofsalvationGivingnooffenceinanythingthattheministrybenotblamedButinallthingsapprovingourselvesastheministersofGodinmuchpatienceinafflictionsinnecessitiesindistressesInstripesinimprisonmentsintumultsinlaboursinwatchingsinfastingsBypurenessbyknowledgebylongsufferingbykindnessbytheHolyGhostbyloveunfeignedBythewordoftruthbythepowerofGodbythearmourofrighteousnessontherighthandandontheleftByhonouranddishonourbyevilreportandgoodreportasdeceiversandyettrueAsunknownandyetwellknownasdyingandbeholdweliveaschastenedandnotkilledAssorrowfulyetalwayrejoicingaspooryetmakingmanyrichashavingnothingandyetpossessingallthingsOyeCorinthiansourmouthisopenuntoyouourheartisenlargedYearenotstraitenedinusbutyearestraitenedinyourownbowelsNowforarecompenceinthesameIspeakasuntomychildrenbeyealsoenlargedBeyenotunequallyyokedtogetherwithunbelieversforwhatfellowshiphathrighteousnesswithunrighteousnessandwhatcommunionhathlightwithdarknessAndwhatconcordhathChristwithBelialorwhatparthathhethatbelievethwithaninfidelAndwhatagreementhaththetempleofGodwithidolsforyearethetempleofthelivingGodasGodhathsaidIwilldwellinthemandwalkinthemandIwillbetheirGodandtheyshallbemypeopleWhereforecomeoutfromamongthemandbeyeseparatesaiththeLordandtouchnottheuncleanthingandIwillreceiveyouAndwillbeaFatheruntoyouandyeshallbemysonsanddaughterssaiththeLordAlmightyHavingthereforethesepromisesdearlybelovedletuscleanseourselvesfromallfilthinessofthefleshandspiritperfectingholinessinthefearofGodReceiveuswehavewrongednomanwehavecorruptednomanwehavedefraudednomanIspeaknotthistocondemnyouforIhavesaidbeforethatyeareinourheartstodieandlivewithyouGreatismyboldnessofspeechtowardyougreatismygloryingofyouIamfilledwithcomfortIamexceedingjoyfulinallourtribulationForwhenwewerecomeintoMacedoniaourfleshhadnorestbutweweretroubledoneverysidewithoutwerefightingswithinwerefearsNeverthelessGodthatcomforteththosethatarecastdowncomfortedusbythecomingofTitusAndnotbyhiscomingonlybutbytheconsolationwherewithhewascomfortedinyouwhenhetoldusyourearnestdesireyourmourningyourferventmindtowardmesothatIrejoicedthemoreForthoughImadeyousorrywithaletterIdonotrepentthoughIdidrepentforIperceivethatthesameepistlehathmadeyousorrythoughitwerebutforaseasonNowIrejoicenotthatyeweremadesorrybutthatyesorrowedtorepentanceforyeweremadesorryafteragodlymannerthatyemightreceivedamagebyusinnothingForgodlysorrowworkethrepentancetosalvationnottoberepentedofbutthesorrowoftheworldworkethdeathForbeholdthisselfsamethingthatyesorrowedafteragodlysortwhatcarefulnessitwroughtinyouyeawhatclearingofyourselvesyeawhatindignationyeawhatfearyeawhatvehementdesireyeawhatzealyeawhatrevengeInallthingsyehaveapprovedyourselvestobeclearinthismatterWhereforethoughIwroteuntoyouIdiditnotforhiscausethathaddonethewrongnorforhiscausethatsufferedwrongbutthatourcareforyouinthesightofGodmightappearuntoyouThereforewewerecomfortedinyourcomfortyeaandexceedinglythemorejoyedweforthejoyofTitusbecausehisspiritwasrefreshedbyyouallForifIhaveboastedanythingtohimofyouIamnotashamedbutaswespakeallthingstoyouintruthevensoourboastingwhichImadebeforeTitusisfoundatruthAndhisinwardaffectionismoreabundanttowardyouwhilstheremembereththeobedienceofyouallhowwithfearandtremblingyereceivedhimIrejoicethereforethatIhaveconfidenceinyouinallthingsMoreoverbrethrenwedoyoutowitofthegraceofGodbestowedonthechurchesofMacedoniaHowthatinagreattrialofafflictiontheabundanceoftheirjoyandtheirdeeppovertyaboundeduntotherichesoftheirliberalityFortotheirpowerIbearrecordyeaandbeyondtheirpowertheywerewillingofthemselvesPrayinguswithmuchintreatythatwewouldreceivethegiftandtakeuponusthefellowshipoftheministeringtothesaintsAndthistheydidnotaswehopedbutfirstgavetheirownselvestotheLordanduntousbythewillofGodInsomuchthatwedesiredTitusthatashehadbegunsohewouldalsofinishinyouthesamegracealsoThereforeasyeaboundineverythinginfaithandutteranceandknowledgeandinalldiligenceandinyourlovetousseethatyeaboundinthisgracealsoIspeaknotbycommandmentbutbyoccasionoftheforwardnessofothersandtoprovethesincerityofyourloveForyeknowthegraceofourLordJesusChristthatthoughhewasrichyetforyoursakeshebecamepoorthatyethroughhispovertymightberichAndhereinIgivemyadviceforthisisexpedientforyouwhohavebegunbeforenotonlytodobutalsotobeforwardayearagoNowthereforeperformthedoingofitthatastherewasareadinesstowillsotheremaybeaperformancealsooutofthatwhichyehaveForiftherebefirstawillingminditisacceptedaccordingtothatamanhathandnotaccordingtothathehathnotForImeannotthatothermenbeeasedandyeburdenedButbyanequalitythatnowatthistimeyourabundancemaybeasupplyfortheirwantthattheirabundancealsomaybeasupplyforyourwantthattheremaybeequalityAsitiswrittenHethathadgatheredmuchhadnothingoverandhethathadgatheredlittlehadnolackButthanksbetoGodwhichputthesameearnestcareintotheheartofTitusforyouForindeedheacceptedtheexhortationbutbeingmoreforwardofhisownaccordhewentuntoyouAndwehavesentwithhimthebrotherwhosepraiseisinthegospelthroughoutallthechurchesAndnotthatonlybutwhowasalsochosenofthechurchestotravelwithuswiththisgracewhichisadministeredbyustothegloryofthesameLordanddeclarationofyourreadymindAvoidingthisthatnomanshouldblameusinthisabundancewhichisadministeredbyusProvidingforhonestthingsnotonlyinthesightoftheLordbutalsointhesightofmenAndwehavesentwiththemourbrotherwhomwehaveoftentimesproveddiligentinmanythingsbutnowmuchmorediligentuponthegreatconfidencewhichIhaveinyouWhetheranydoinquireofTitusheismypartnerandfellowhelperconcerningyouorourbrethrenbeinquiredoftheyarethemessengersofthechurchesandthegloryofChristWhereforeshewyetothemandbeforethechurchestheproofofyourloveandofourboastingonyourbehalfForastouchingtheministeringtothesaintsitissuperfluousformetowritetoyouForIknowtheforwardnessofyourmindforwhichIboastofyoutothemofMacedoniathatAchaiawasreadyayearagoandyourzealhathprovokedverymanyYethaveIsentthebrethrenlestourboastingofyoushouldbeinvaininthisbehalfthatasIsaidyemaybereadyLesthaplyiftheyofMacedoniacomewithmeandfindyouunpreparedwethatwesaynotyeshouldbeashamedinthissameconfidentboastingThereforeIthoughtitnecessarytoexhortthebrethrenthattheywouldgobeforeuntoyouandmakeupbeforehandyourbountywhereofyehadnoticebeforethatthesamemightbereadyasamatterofbountyandnotasofcovetousnessButthisIsayHewhichsowethsparinglyshallreapalsosparinglyandhewhichsowethbountifullyshallreapalsobountifullyEverymanaccordingashepurposethinhisheartsolethimgivenotgrudginglyorofnecessityforGodlovethacheerfulgiverAndGodisabletomakeallgraceaboundtowardyouthatyealwayshavingallsufficiencyinallthingsmayaboundtoeverygoodworkAsitiswrittenHehathdispersedabroadhehathgiventothepoorhisrighteousnessremainethforeverNowhethatministerethseedtothesowerbothministerbreadforyourfoodandmultiplyyourseedsownandincreasethefruitsofyourrighteousnessBeingenrichedineverythingtoallbountifulnesswhichcauseththroughusthanksgivingtoGodFortheadministrationofthisservicenotonlysupplieththewantofthesaintsbutisabundantalsobymanythanksgivingsuntoGodWhilesbytheexperimentofthisministrationtheyglorifyGodforyourprofessedsubjectionuntothegospelofChristandforyourliberaldistributionuntothemanduntoallmenAndbytheirprayerforyouwhichlongafteryoufortheexceedinggraceofGodinyouThanksbeuntoGodforhisunspeakablegiftNowIPaulmyselfbeseechyoubythemeeknessandgentlenessofChristwhoinpresenceambaseamongyoubutbeingabsentamboldtowardyouButIbeseechyouthatImaynotbeboldwhenIampresentwiththatconfidencewherewithIthinktobeboldagainstsomewhichthinkofusasifwewalkedaccordingtothefleshForthoughwewalkinthefleshwedonotwarafterthefleshFortheweaponsofourwarfarearenotcarnalbutmightythroughGodtothepullingdownofstrongholdsCastingdownimaginationsandeveryhighthingthatexaltethitselfagainsttheknowledgeofGodandbringingintocaptivityeverythoughttotheobedienceofChristAndhavinginareadinesstorevengealldisobediencewhenyourobedienceisfulfilledDoyelookonthingsaftertheoutwardappearanceIfanymantrusttohimselfthatheisChristslethimofhimselfthinkthisagainthatasheisChristsevensoareweChristsForthoughIshouldboastsomewhatmoreofourauthoritywhichtheLordhathgivenusforedificationandnotforyourdestructionIshouldnotbeashamedThatImaynotseemasifIwouldterrifyyoubylettersForhisletterssaytheyareweightyandpowerfulbuthisbodilypresenceisweakandhisspeechcontemptibleLetsuchanonethinkthisthatsuchasweareinwordbyletterswhenweareabsentsuchwillwebealsoindeedwhenwearepresentForwedarenotmakeourselvesofthenumberorcompareourselveswithsomethatcommendthemselvesbuttheymeasuringthemselvesbythemselvesandcomparingthemselvesamongthemselvesarenotwiseButwewillnotboastofthingswithoutourmeasurebutaccordingtothemeasureoftherulewhichGodhathdistributedtousameasuretoreachevenuntoyouForwestretchnotourselvesbeyondourmeasureasthoughwereachednotuntoyouforwearecomeasfarastoyoualsoinpreachingthegospelofChristNotboastingofthingswithoutourmeasurethatisofothermenslaboursbuthavinghopewhenyourfaithisincreasedthatweshallbeenlargedbyyouaccordingtoourruleabundantlyTopreachthegospelintheregionsbeyondyouandnottoboastinanothermanslineofthingsmadereadytoourhandButhethatgloriethlethimgloryintheLordFornothethatcommendethhimselfisapprovedbutwhomtheLordcommendethWouldtoGodyecouldbearwithmealittleinmyfollyandindeedbearwithmeForIamjealousoveryouwithgodlyjealousyforIhaveespousedyoutoonehusbandthatImaypresentyouasachastevirgintoChristButIfearlestbyanymeansastheserpentbeguiledEvethroughhissubtiltysoyourmindsshouldbecorruptedfromthesimplicitythatisinChristForifhethatcomethpreachethanotherJesuswhomwehavenotpreachedorifyereceiveanotherspiritwhichyehavenotreceivedoranothergospelwhichyehavenotacceptedyemightwellbearwithhimForIsupposeIwasnotawhitbehindtheverychiefestapostlesButthoughIberudeinspeechyetnotinknowledgebutwehavebeenthroughlymademanifestamongyouinallthingsHaveIcommittedanoffenceinabasingmyselfthatyemightbeexaltedbecauseIhavepreachedtoyouthegospelofGodfreelyIrobbedotherchurchestakingwagesofthemtodoyouserviceAndwhenIwaspresentwithyouandwantedIwaschargeabletonomanforthatwhichwaslackingtomethebrethrenwhichcamefromMacedoniasuppliedandinallthingsIhavekeptmyselffrombeingburdensomeuntoyouandsowillIkeepmyselfAsthetruthofChristisinmenomanshallstopmeofthisboastingintheregionsofAchaiaWhereforebecauseIloveyounotGodknowethButwhatIdothatIwilldothatImaycutoffoccasionfromthemwhichdesireoccasionthatwhereintheyglorytheymaybefoundevenasweForsucharefalseapostlesdeceitfulworkerstransformingthemselvesintotheapostlesofChristAndnomarvelforSatanhimselfistransformedintoanangeloflightThereforeitisnogreatthingifhisministersalsobetransformedastheministersofrighteousnesswhoseendshallbeaccordingtotheirworksIsayagainLetnomanthinkmeafoolifotherwiseyetasafoolreceivemethatImayboastmyselfalittleThatwhichIspeakIspeakitnotaftertheLo
