ThatwhichwasfromthebeginningwhichwehaveheardwhichwehaveseenwithoureyeswhichwehavelookeduponandourhandshavehandledoftheWordoflifeForthelifewasmanifestedandwehaveseenitandbearwitnessandshewuntoyouthateternallifewhichwaswiththeFatherandwasmanifesteduntousThatwhichwehaveseenandhearddeclareweuntoyouthatyealsomayhavefellowshipwithusandtrulyourfellowshipiswiththeFatherandwithhisSonJesusChristAndthesethingswriteweuntoyouthatyourjoymaybefullThisthenisthemessagewhichwehaveheardofhimanddeclareuntoyouthatGodislightandinhimisnodarknessatallIfwesaythatwehavefellowshipwithhimandwalkindarknesswelieanddonotthetruthButifwewalkinthelightasheisinthelightwehavefellowshiponewithanotherandthebloodofJesusChristhisSoncleansethusfromallsinIfwesaythatwehavenosinwedeceiveourselvesandthetruthisnotinusIfweconfessoursinsheisfaithfulandjusttoforgiveusoursinsandtocleanseusfromallunrighteousnessIfwesaythatwehavenotsinnedwemakehimaliarandhiswordisnotinusMylittlechildrenthesethingswriteIuntoyouthatyesinnotAndifanymansinwehaveanadvocatewiththeFatherJesusChristtherighteousAndheisthepropitiationforoursinsandnotforoursonlybutalsoforthesinsofthewholeworldAndherebywedoknowthatweknowhimifwekeephiscommandmentsHethatsaithIknowhimandkeepethnothiscommandmentsisaliarandthetruthisnotinhimButwhosokeepethhiswordinhimverilyistheloveofGodperfectedherebyknowwethatweareinhimHethatsaithheabidethinhimoughthimselfalsosotowalkevenashewalkedBrethrenIwritenonewcommandmentuntoyoubutanoldcommandmentwhichyehadfromthebeginningTheoldcommandmentisthewordwhichyehaveheardfromthebeginningAgainanewcommandmentIwriteuntoyouwhichthingistrueinhimandinyoubecausethedarknessispastandthetruelightnowshinethHethatsaithheisinthelightandhatethhisbrotherisindarknessevenuntilnowHethatlovethhisbrotherabidethinthelightandthereisnoneoccasionofstumblinginhimButhethathatethhisbrotherisindarknessandwalkethindarknessandknowethnotwhitherhegoethbecausethatdarknesshathblindedhiseyesIwriteuntoyoulittlechildrenbecauseyoursinsareforgivenyouforhisnamessakeIwriteuntoyoufathersbecauseyehaveknownhimthatisfromthebeginningIwriteuntoyouyoungmenbecauseyehaveovercomethewickedoneIwriteuntoyoulittlechildrenbecauseyehaveknowntheFatherIhavewrittenuntoyoufathersbecauseyehaveknownhimthatisfromthebeginningIhavewrittenuntoyouyoungmenbecauseyearestrongandthewordofGodabidethinyouandyehaveovercomethewickedoneLovenottheworldneitherthethingsthatareintheworldIfanymanlovetheworldtheloveoftheFatherisnotinhimForallthatisintheworldthelustofthefleshandthelustoftheeyesandtheprideoflifeisnotoftheFatherbutisoftheworldAndtheworldpassethawayandthelustthereofbuthethatdoeththewillofGodabidethforeverLittlechildrenitisthelasttimeandasyehaveheardthatantichristshallcomeevennowaretheremanyantichristswherebyweknowthatitisthelasttimeTheywentoutfromusbuttheywerenotofusforiftheyhadbeenofustheywouldnodoubthavecontinuedwithusbuttheywentoutthattheymightbemademanifestthattheywerenotallofusButyehaveanunctionfromtheHolyOneandyeknowallthingsIhavenotwrittenuntoyoubecauseyeknownotthetruthbutbecauseyeknowitandthatnolieisofthetruthWhoisaliarbuthethatdenieththatJesusistheChristHeisantichristthatdenieththeFatherandtheSonWhosoeverdenieththeSonthesamehathnottheFatherbuthethatacknowledgeththeSonhaththeFatheralsoLetthatthereforeabideinyouwhichyehaveheardfromthebeginningIfthatwhichyehaveheardfromthebeginningshallremaininyouyealsoshallcontinueintheSonandintheFatherAndthisisthepromisethathehathpromiseduseveneternallifeThesethingshaveIwrittenuntoyouconcerningthemthatseduceyouButtheanointingwhichyehavereceivedofhimabidethinyouandyeneednotthatanymanteachyoubutasthesameanointingteachethyouofallthingsandistruthandisnolieandevenasithathtaughtyouyeshallabideinhimAndnowlittlechildrenabideinhimthatwhenheshallappearwemayhaveconfidenceandnotbeashamedbeforehimathiscomingIfyeknowthatheisrighteousyeknowthateveryonethatdoethrighteousnessisbornofhimBeholdwhatmanneroflovetheFatherhathbestoweduponusthatweshouldbecalledthesonsofGodthereforetheworldknowethusnotbecauseitknewhimnotBelovednowarewethesonsofGodanditdothnotyetappearwhatweshallbebutweknowthatwhenheshallappearweshallbelikehimforweshallseehimasheisAndeverymanthathaththishopeinhimpurifiethhimselfevenasheispureWhosoevercommittethsintransgressethalsothelawforsinisthetransgressionofthelawAndyeknowthathewasmanifestedtotakeawayoursinsandinhimisnosinWhosoeverabidethinhimsinnethnotwhosoeversinnethhathnotseenhimneitherknownhimLittlechildrenletnomandeceiveyouhethatdoethrighteousnessisrighteousevenasheisrighteousHethatcommittethsinisofthedevilforthedevilsinnethfromthebeginningForthispurposetheSonofGodwasmanifestedthathemightdestroytheworksofthedevilWhosoeverisbornofGoddothnotcommitsinforhisseedremainethinhimandhecannotsinbecauseheisbornofGodInthisthechildrenofGodaremanifestandthechildrenofthedevilwhosoeverdoethnotrighteousnessisnotofGodneitherhethatlovethnothisbrotherForthisisthemessagethatyeheardfromthebeginningthatweshouldloveoneanotherNotasCainwhowasofthatwickedoneandslewhisbrotherAndwhereforeslewhehimBecausehisownworkswereevilandhisbrothersrighteousMarvelnotmybrethreniftheworldhateyouWeknowthatwehavepassedfromdeathuntolifebecausewelovethebrethrenHethatlovethnothisbrotherabidethindeathWhosoeverhatethhisbrotherisamurdererandyeknowthatnomurdererhatheternallifeabidinginhimHerebyperceivewetheloveofGodbecausehelaiddownhislifeforusandweoughttolaydownourlivesforthebrethrenButwhosohaththisworldsgoodandseethhisbrotherhaveneedandshuttethuphisbowelsofcompassionfromhimhowdwelleththeloveofGodinhimMylittlechildrenletusnotloveinwordneitherintonguebutindeedandintruthAndherebyweknowthatweareofthetruthandshallassureourheartsbeforehimForifourheartcondemnusGodisgreaterthanourheartandknowethallthingsBelovedifourheartcondemnusnotthenhaveweconfidencetowardGodAndwhatsoeverweaskwereceiveofhimbecausewekeephiscommandmentsanddothosethingsthatarepleasinginhissightAndthisishiscommandmentThatweshouldbelieveonthenameofhisSonJesusChristandloveoneanotherashegaveuscommandmentAndhethatkeepethhiscommandmentsdwellethinhimandheinhimAndherebyweknowthatheabidethinusbytheSpiritwhichhehathgivenusBelovedbelievenoteveryspiritbuttrythespiritswhethertheyareofGodbecausemanyfalseprophetsaregoneoutintotheworldHerebyknowyetheSpiritofGodEveryspiritthatconfesseththatJesusChristiscomeinthefleshisofGodAndeveryspiritthatconfessethnotthatJesusChristiscomeinthefleshisnotofGodandthisisthatspiritofantichristwhereofyehaveheardthatitshouldcomeandevennowalreadyisitintheworldYeareofGodlittlechildrenandhaveovercomethembecausegreaterishethatisinyouthanhethatisintheworldTheyareoftheworldthereforespeaktheyoftheworldandtheworldheareththemWeareofGodhethatknowethGodhearethushethatisnotofGodhearethnotusHerebyknowwethespiritoftruthandthespiritoferrorBelovedletusloveoneanotherforloveisofGodandeveryonethatlovethisbornofGodandknowethGodHethatlovethnotknowethnotGodforGodisloveInthiswasmanifestedtheloveofGodtowardusbecausethatGodsenthisonlybegottenSonintotheworldthatwemightlivethroughhimHereinislovenotthatwelovedGodbutthathelovedusandsenthisSontobethepropitiationforoursinsBelovedifGodsolovedusweoughtalsotoloveoneanotherNomanhathseenGodatanytimeIfweloveoneanotherGoddwellethinusandhisloveisperfectedinusHerebyknowwethatwedwellinhimandheinusbecausehehathgivenusofhisSpiritAndwehaveseenanddotestifythattheFathersenttheSontobetheSaviouroftheworldWhosoevershallconfessthatJesusistheSonofGodGoddwellethinhimandheinGodAndwehaveknownandbelievedthelovethatGodhathtousGodisloveandhethatdwellethinlovedwellethinGodandGodinhimHereinisourlovemadeperfectthatwemayhaveboldnessinthedayofjudgmentbecauseasheissoareweinthisworldThereisnofearinlovebutperfectlovecastethoutfearbecausefearhathtormentHethatfearethisnotmadeperfectinloveWelovehimbecausehefirstlovedusIfamansayIloveGodandhatethhisbrotherheisaliarforhethatlovethnothisbrotherwhomhehathseenhowcanheloveGodwhomhehathnotseenAndthiscommandmenthavewefromhimThathewholovethGodlovehisbrotheralsoWhosoeverbelieveththatJesusistheChristisbornofGodandeveryonethatlovethhimthatbegatlovethhimalsothatisbegottenofhimBythisweknowthatwelovethechildrenofGodwhenweloveGodandkeephiscommandmentsForthisistheloveofGodthatwekeephiscommandmentsandhiscommandmentsarenotgrievousForwhatsoeverisbornofGodovercomeththeworldandthisisthevictorythatovercomeththeworldevenourfaithWhoishethatovercomeththeworldbuthethatbelieveththatJesusistheSonofGodThisishethatcamebywaterandbloodevenJesusChristnotbywateronlybutbywaterandbloodAnditistheSpiritthatbearethwitnessbecausetheSpiritistruthFortherearethreethatbearrecordinheaventheFathertheWordandtheHolyGhostandthesethreeareoneAndtherearethreethatbearwitnessinearththespiritandthewaterandthebloodandthesethreeagreeinoneIfwereceivethewitnessofmenthewitnessofGodisgreaterforthisisthewitnessofGodwhichhehathtestifiedofhisSonHethatbelievethontheSonofGodhaththewitnessinhimselfhethatbelievethnotGodhathmadehimaliarbecausehebelievethnottherecordthatGodgaveofhisSonAndthisistherecordthatGodhathgiventouseternallifeandthislifeisinhisSonHethathaththeSonhathlifeandhethathathnottheSonofGodhathnotlifeThesethingshaveIwrittenuntoyouthatbelieveonthenameoftheSonofGodthatyemayknowthatyehaveeternallifeandthatyemaybelieveonthenameoftheSonofGodAndthisistheconfidencethatwehaveinhimthatifweaskanythingaccordingtohiswillhehearethusAndifweknowthathehearuswhatsoeverweaskweknowthatwehavethepetitionsthatwedesiredofhimIfanymanseehisbrothersinasinwhichisnotuntodeathheshallaskandheshallgivehimlifeforthemthatsinnotuntodeathThereisasinuntodeathIdonotsaythatheshallprayforitAllunrighteousnessissinandthereisasinnotuntodeathWeknowthatwhosoeverisbornofGodsinnethnotbuthethatisbegottenofGodkeepethhimselfandthatwickedonetouchethhimnotAndweknowthatweareofGodandthewholeworldliethinwickednessAndweknowthattheSonofGodiscomeandhathgivenusanunderstandingthatwemayknowhimthatistrueandweareinhimthatistrueeveninhisSonJesusChristThisisthetrueGodandeternallifeLittlechildrenkeepyourselvesfromidolsAmen
