PaulandSilvanusandTimotheusuntothechurchoftheThessaloniansinGodourFatherandtheLordJesusChristGraceuntoyouandpeacefromGodourFatherandtheLordJesusChristWeareboundtothankGodalwaysforyoubrethrenasitismeetbecausethatyourfaithgrowethexceedinglyandthecharityofeveryoneofyoualltowardeachotheraboundethSothatweourselvesgloryinyouinthechurchesofGodforyourpatienceandfaithinallyourpersecutionsandtribulationsthatyeendureWhichisamanifesttokenoftherighteousjudgmentofGodthatyemaybecountedworthyofthekingdomofGodforwhichyealsosufferSeeingitisarighteousthingwithGodtorecompensetribulationtothemthattroubleyouAndtoyouwhoaretroubledrestwithuswhentheLordJesusshallberevealedfromheavenwithhismightyangelsInflamingfiretakingvengeanceonthemthatknownotGodandthatobeynotthegospelofourLordJesusChristWhoshallbepunishedwitheverlastingdestructionfromthepresenceoftheLordandfromthegloryofhispowerWhenheshallcometobeglorifiedinhissaintsandtobeadmiredinallthemthatbelievebecauseourtestimonyamongyouwasbelievedinthatdayWhereforealsoweprayalwaysforyouthatourGodwouldcountyouworthyofthiscallingandfulfilallthegoodpleasureofhisgoodnessandtheworkoffaithwithpowerThatthenameofourLordJesusChristmaybeglorifiedinyouandyeinhimaccordingtothegraceofourGodandtheLordJesusChristNowwebeseechyoubrethrenbythecomingofourLordJesusChristandbyourgatheringtogetheruntohimThatyebenotsoonshakeninmindorbetroubledneitherbyspiritnorbywordnorbyletterasfromusasthatthedayofChristisathandLetnomandeceiveyoubyanymeansforthatdayshallnotcomeexcepttherecomeafallingawayfirstandthatmanofsinberevealedthesonofperditionWhoopposethandexaltethhimselfaboveallthatiscalledGodorthatisworshippedsothatheasGodsittethinthetempleofGodshewinghimselfthatheisGodRememberyenotthatwhenIwasyetwithyouItoldyouthesethingsAndnowyeknowwhatwithholdeththathemightberevealedinhistimeForthemysteryofiniquitydothalreadyworkonlyhewhonowlettethwillletuntilhebetakenoutofthewayAndthenshallthatWickedberevealedwhomtheLordshallconsumewiththespiritofhismouthandshalldestroywiththebrightnessofhiscomingEvenhimwhosecomingisaftertheworkingofSatanwithallpowerandsignsandlyingwondersAndwithalldeceivablenessofunrighteousnessinthemthatperishbecausetheyreceivednottheloveofthetruththattheymightbesavedAndforthiscauseGodshallsendthemstrongdelusionthattheyshouldbelievealieThattheyallmightbedamnedwhobelievednotthetruthbuthadpleasureinunrighteousnessButweareboundtogivethanksalwaytoGodforyoubrethrenbelovedoftheLordbecauseGodhathfromthebeginningchosenyoutosalvationthroughsanctificationoftheSpiritandbeliefofthetruthWhereuntohecalledyoubyourgospeltotheobtainingofthegloryofourLordJesusChristThereforebrethrenstandfastandholdthetraditionswhichyehavebeentaughtwhetherbywordorourepistleNowourLordJesusChristhimselfandGodevenourFatherwhichhathlovedusandhathgivenuseverlastingconsolationandgoodhopethroughgraceComfortyourheartsandstablishyouineverygoodwordandworkFinallybrethrenprayforusthatthewordoftheLordmayhavefreecourseandbeglorifiedevenasitiswithyouAndthatwemaybedeliveredfromunreasonableandwickedmenforallmenhavenotfaithButtheLordisfaithfulwhoshallstablishyouandkeepyoufromevilAndwehaveconfidenceintheLordtouchingyouthatyebothdoandwilldothethingswhichwecommandyouAndtheLorddirectyourheartsintotheloveofGodandintothepatientwaitingforChristNowwecommandyoubrethreninthenameofourLordJesusChristthatyewithdrawyourselvesfromeverybrotherthatwalkethdisorderlyandnotafterthetraditionwhichhereceivedofusForyourselvesknowhowyeoughttofollowusforwebehavednotourselvesdisorderlyamongyouNeitherdidweeatanymansbreadfornoughtbutwroughtwithlabourandtravailnightanddaythatwemightnotbechargeabletoanyofyouNotbecausewehavenotpowerbuttomakeourselvesanensampleuntoyoutofollowusForevenwhenwewerewithyouthiswecommandedyouthatifanywouldnotworkneithershouldheeatForwehearthattherearesomewhichwalkamongyoudisorderlyworkingnotatallbutarebusybodiesNowthemthataresuchwecommandandexhortbyourLordJesusChristthatwithquietnesstheyworkandeattheirownbreadButyebrethrenbenotwearyinwelldoingAndifanymanobeynotourwordbythisepistlenotethatmanandhavenocompanywithhimthathemaybeashamedYetcounthimnotasanenemybutadmonishhimasabrotherNowtheLordofpeacehimselfgiveyoupeacealwaysbyallmeansTheLordbewithyouallThesalutationofPaulwithmineownhandwhichisthetokenineveryepistlesoIwriteThegraceofourLordJesusChristbewithyouallAmen
